Investing in Independent Energy Infrastructure
Purchasing a bulk propane storage tank gives residential and commercial property owners complete long-term control over their energy infrastructure. When you own your equipment, you build equity in your property’s heating system and retain complete flexibility. However, proper initial installation and professional commissioning are critical to protecting your investment.
An improperly installed or incorrectly purged propane tank can lead to multi-year operational issues—trapped atmospheric moisture causes internal corrosion, freezes regulators during cold weather, and leads to inaccurate gauge readings. Every new tank sold by Ready Propane undergoes a rigorous multi-step commissioning process handled entirely by our trained crew before we introduce fuel and hand over the keys.

Our 4-Step Professional PROPANE Installation Process
1 –
Equipment Delivery & Placement
We transport your new storage vessel via crane truck or specialized lifting equipment directly to your prepared, level concrete pad. The tank is positioned to ensure strict compliance with CSA B149.2 clearance setbacks from property lines, building openings, and ignition sources.
2 –
Vacuum Purging
New propane tanks arrive from the factory filled with ambient air and atmospheric moisture. Before introducing liquid propane, our technicians connect specialized vacuum pumps to draw the vessel down to a deep vacuum. This removes all trapped moisture and oxygen, preventing interior rust and regulator freeze-ups.
3 –
Valve & Pressure Safety Testing
We inspect all pressure relief valves, service valves, liquid level gauges, and vapor return fittings. Every connection is pressure-tested with leak-detection fluid to guarantee complete seal integrity.
4 –
Initial Fuel Fill & Gauge Calibration
Our 4WD delivery tanker performs the initial bulk fuel fill. We verify that the float gauge reads accurately across the fill spectrum and confirm that the multi-stage regulator maintains stable operating pressure.

Getting Your Whole System Ready
Ready Propane takes care of everything on the tank side — equipment sales, delivery, vacuum purging, and the initial fill — because that’s where our licensing and equipment are built to do the best job. The rest of your system goes to a licensed gas-fitter, so every part of the installation is handled by the people best equipped for it. We’re happy to connect you with a gas-fitter we trust.
