Understanding Your Propane Bill

Propane prices reflect broader energy markets, seasonal heating demand, currency exchange rates, and the regional transport costs specific to Vancouver Island.
To keep billing clear, every invoice breaks down into three simple components:

  • Per-Litre Fuel Rate ($/L): Your base price per litre includes all standard bulk storage, pipeline, administration, hazardous materials handling (HAZMAT), and provincial/federal permitting fees upfront.
  • Flat Delivery Service Fee: Every delivery includes a modest flat service fee. This directly offsets diesel costs, maintains our local delivery fleet, and funds ongoing safety training for our staff.
  • Applicable Taxes: BC Carbon Tax, GST, PST, and Motor Fuel Taxes (when applicable) are itemized separately on your invoice.
