Bulk Propane Delivery, Built for Island Conditions

Propane delivery here means working with steep driveways, rural properties, wet winters, and changing fuel demand. Our fleet includes custom 4WD propane tankers built to reach properties where access takes more than a standard delivery truck.

We supply propane for residential heating, hot water, cooking, generators, and commercial operations. Accounts are set up with one of two delivery arrangements:

  • Auto-Charge: We schedule deliveries using your account’s usage history and seasonal heating demand. This option suits customers who prefer us to manage their delivery timing.
  • Managed Will-Call: You monitor your tank level and contact our office when it reaches approximately 20–30%, allowing time to arrange your next delivery.

Our standard delivery window is 3–5 business days. Planning ahead gives us time to fit your request into the route, particularly during busy winter periods.

Visit our delivery page for scheduling details, minimum-order information, and payment terms.

Rent the Tank. We Handle the Maintenance.

A propane tank rental gives you access to storage equipment without purchasing the vessel outright. You pay for delivery, setup, and an annual rental, while Ready Propane retains responsibility for maintaining the rental equipment.

Rentals are designed for customers with ongoing fuel needs, including home heating and other continuous-use applications. To qualify, annual propane usage must meet or exceed 250 litres.

Our rental options include vertical cylinders and larger bulk tanks for residential, commercial, and agricultural use. The appropriate vessel depends on your fuel demand, property, and access.

Here’s what makes renting straightforward:

  • No upfront purchase of the tank or cylinder.
  • A predictable annual rental fee.
  • Maintenance and required inspections handled by Ready Propane.
  • Remote monitoring available at no additional annual charge for qualifying Auto-Fill customers with cellular coverage.

If your usage is lower or you prefer to own your equipment, purchasing may be a better fit. We can explain the options before you commit.

Own Your Tank, Start with the Right Setup

Buying a propane tank gives you ownership of your fuel storage equipment. It’s an option for property owners planning long-term propane use, as well as customers who need storage for lower-use applications such as backup generators.

Ready Propane sells vertical cylinders and larger ASME bulk storage tanks. We help match the equipment to its intended use, whether that’s supplying a few appliances or supporting a larger heating load.

Getting a new tank ready involves more than placing it on a pad. Our tank sales service includes delivery and placement, vacuum purging, tank-side testing, and the initial fill. Proper preparation helps ensure the vessel is ready to enter service.

We’ll also explain the division of work. Ready Propane handles the tank side of the setup; a licensed gas-fitter handles the building’s gas lines, appliance connections, and related work. If you need a gas-fitter, we’re happy to connect you with someone we trust.

Cylinder Requalification, Without the Last-Minute Scramble

An expired cylinder can interrupt your fuel supply when you need it most. Planning requalification ahead of time helps you avoid discovering a problem when you’re ready for a refill.

Ready Propane provides cylinder requalification for larger residential cylinders and commercial equipment, including forklift cylinders. Our Parksville facility handles inspections and requalification work, with on-site service available for qualified commercial accounts.

We also provide ASME tank inspections. Stationary bulk tanks and portable cylinders have different inspection requirements, so the first step is identifying your equipment and the service it needs.

We do not requalify 20 lb or 30 lb barbecue, RV, or patio cylinders.

Contact our office with your cylinder size, its date markings, and the number of cylinders needing service. We’ll explain whether we can handle the equipment and how to arrange the work.

Local Service. Clear Responsibilities.

Good propane service starts with knowing what’s included and who’s handling the work.

Our office explains delivery arrangements, equipment options, and service requirements before you get started. You’ll receive clear pricing information and practical guidance about the details that affect your request.

For a tank delivery, that may include preparing a suitable base and providing clear access. For a purchase, it means understanding which work belongs to our crew and which requires your gas-fitter. For requalification, it means confirming the equipment we accept and scheduling ahead.

We’ve served Vancouver Island since 1993. Our focus remains straightforward: dependable fuel supply, properly prepared equipment, and a local team you can reach.

Forklift Fuel and Commercial Fleet Support

For businesses running propane forklifts, fuel supply and cylinder servicing need to fit around the working day.
Ready Propane offers on-site forklift cylinder refilling throughout Mid-Vancouver Island, along with requalification and repair support. A minimum of four cylinders on-site is required to qualify for delivery service.
If a cylinder needs shop work, we can transport it to our Parksville facility for service and return it to your site. Keeping fuel delivery and cylinder care with one local provider means fewer arrangements for your team to manage.
Tell us about your fleet, cylinder count, and operating schedule so we can discuss a suitable service arrangement.
